Lehigh men awarded for academic achievement

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men’s cross country team had an outstanding season on the trail in 2005, and the accolades keep coming in, although this time, it is for the Mountain Hawks work in the classroom. Lehigh was recently recognized by the United States Cross Country Coaches Association (USCCA), which is a governing body from 300-plus cross country programs nationwide who select teams that performed well in the classroom setting, with All-Academic Team laurels.
Distinction for such an award requires a minimum 3.00 cumulative team grade point average, and out of the 62 programs nationwide that received the honor, Lehigh ranked 48th, beating out other schools such as
The Mountain Hawks cumulative team grade point average is 3.10, and the team was in the top-ten for all Lehigh sport programs after finishing the 2005 fall semester with a 3.15 GPA.
