Lehigh to host 32nd Paul Short Run on Saturday

Lehigh head coach Debbie Utesch, in her ninth season, is excited to once again host the nationally renowned race. “We’ve had a record number of entries this year on all levels, particularly from collegiate teams in the Mid-Atlantic Region, because we (Lehigh) are hosting those championships in mid-November. This is a meet that will have a lot of implications on at-large bids for national qualifying for out of region teams, such as
Tennessee’s women, who are currently ranked 15th in America, were last year’s champion with 53 points, and will be joined by nationally ranked Villanova (8), Columbia (20), Georgetown (26), and La Salle (27), as well as regional powers such as Auburn, Bucknell, Davidson, Navy, Penn, Penn State, and Pittsburgh.
Andrea Luebbe, the reigning Patriot League Runner of the Week, will team with juniors Jen Schappert and Sarah Seiler to lead the Mountain Hawk ladies on Saturday.
