Bethlehem, PA – Sophomore Jen Schappert has been named the Patriot League’s Runner of the Week following her performance at the 31st annual Paul Short Run last weekend. Schappert is the second Mountain Hawk to receive the honor this season, joining Victor Vientos who was named the Male Runner of the Week two weeks ago. Schappert has led Lehigh in every race this season, including the Paul Short Run where she crossed the finish line in a time of 21:51.47, good for 30th place in front of 145 other runners.
Lehigh came in 18th place as a team in the Paul Short Run, out of 26 teams. The Mountain Hawks return to the course on Saturday morning when they travel to Philadelphia to run in the LaSalle Invitational.
