“We’ve got a very athletic group of girls who are working very hard,” said Moran, who is set to enter her second season as the Mountain Hawks head coach. “This is one of the happiest camps I’ve been a part of. Everyone is learning and having fun.”
Following breakfast, a typical camper’s day begins with individual skills training at 9:30 and runs each day until 9:30 PM. Time is allotted for skill training, individual instruction and team competition. Campers get to work directly with members of Lehigh’s volleyball team.
“It’s a great way for the girls to come together,” explains Moran. “They’re learning how to teach skills and doing some coaching and it should build a strong bond for the coming season.”
There will be two more camp sessions, after the current session concludes on Thursday. The advanced skills training camp for players aged 15-18 runs from Sunday, July 31 to Wednesday, August 3. The final session; the elite training camp runs from August 3 to August 7.
