Kopacz named league's Rookie of the Week

Kopacz helped lead Lehigh to its first victory of the season against Loyola (
The freshman followed up that performance with an even bigger day on Saturday, recording 17 kills and 23 digs for her first career double-double. Kopacz averaged 3.31 kills and 2.39 digs per set in the first four matches of her collegiate career.
On Wednesday, the Duqeusne/Robert Morris Invitational named Kopacz to its All-Tournament Team for her performance over the weekend.
“Some of the things she did were mature beyond her years,” Lehigh head coach Jenny Maurer said. “It was how she scored, not just the fact that she scored.”
