BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh snapped its two match losing streak with a convincing 6-1 win over Monmouth Tuesday afternoon inside the Lewis Tennis Center. Head coach Dave Shook juggled his lineup and the Mountain Hawks responded by sweeping the doubles matches and winning five of six singles matches to improve to 4-6 on the season.

Shook bumped his usual No. 3 doubles team of freshmen Cameron Silbert and Arnaldo Pacheco up to No. 2 and the duo responded with an 8-4 win over Corey Forrest and Vik Gupta. The Mountain Hawks also got doubles wins from senior Jon Nespoli and freshman Troy List at first doubles, and senior Brent Herbert and sophomore J.T. Bolcar at third doubles.

In singles play, Lehigh captured five of six matches, with the only Monmouth point coming at No. 3 singles where junior Mike Gordon defaulted to Corey Forrest with their match knotted at a set apiece. List and fellow freshman continued their winning ways as each won their fifth straight singles match, with List downing Pedro Bruno 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, while Collins bumped to No. 4 singles and won 7-6, 6-3 over Gupta. Junior Jon-Michael Caminiti and Silbert entered the lineup at fifth and sixth singles respectively and both picked up straight set wins.

The Mountain Hawks will be back on the courts Friday night as they travel to Penn State to meet a tough Nittany Lion squad. First serve is set for 7 p.m. from University Park, Pa.
