Nam places second overall at ECAC Championship

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Lehigh competed at the 2008 ECAC Division I Women’s Golf Championship this weekend, hosted by William & Mary, and the Mountain Hawks placed fourth out of the 17 teams in attendance with a two-round total of 625 (311, 314). Princeton won the team title with a score of 599 (309, 290) and the Tigers were followed by St. John’s (615), Boston College (622), Lehigh and Sacred Heart (631). Ana Nam finished second overall for the Brown and White, shooting a 146 (73, 73), which was only five strokes off the top spot, which went to Princeton’s Susannah Aboff who shot a 141 (73, 68).
Other Mountain Hawks that competed in Virginia this weekend were Livia Amado who placed tenth overall after shooting a 154 (76, 78), Jen Nagel who shot a 162 (79, 83) and tied for 36th place overall, Ashley Amador who tied for 39th place with a score of 163 (83, 80), and Erika Kretschmann who placed 64th overall after shooting a 174 (86, 88).
Lehigh is back in action on October 10 when the Mountain Hawks travel to New Jersey to compete in the Rutgers Invitational.
