EASTON, Pa.- The Mountain Hawks fell to Lafayette in three games Friday night in Easton.  The game scores were 30-20, 30-27 and 30-17.  Lehigh’s record now falls to 3-11 on the season, including 0-3 in Patriot League games.  The Leopards improve their record to 8-10 overall and 1-2 in the Patriot League.

In the first game, Lehigh and Lafayette battled evenly for the first couple of points; however the Leopards broke away with their ninth point, and would not relinquish the lead for the rest of the game.

The Mountain Hawks continued to chip away at Lafayette in the second game as the teams were tied at 26 points each late in the game.  The Leopards proved to be too strong though, as they outscored Lehigh 4-1 down the stretch to claim the second game.

In the third game, Lafayette proved to have too much depth for the Brown and White, as the Leopards would not let Lehigh get within nine points, to easily take the game 30-17.  As a team, Lafayette hit .400 in the final game and .298 for the entire match.

Shannon Spafford led the Mountain Hawks with eight kills, while Mo McReynolds and Maxie McCoy each recorded seven kills.  McReynolds also added two service aces and seven digs to go along with her kills.  Dannielle Pimental led the team with 13 digs, while fellow freshman Brittany Dickinson had a team high 28 assists.

The Leopards had three players in double digit kills, including Michaela Donahue and Katrina Racibarskas who each had a match high 14.  Donahue added a team high ten digs to record the double-double.

Lehigh returns to action on Wednesday, when they travel to Fairleigh Dickinson for a non-conference match-up.  The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. from Teaneck, N.J.
