Lehigh takes eighth at Rutgers Invitational

PISCATWAY, N.J. – Lehigh took eighth place at the Rutgers Invitational this past weekend as the Mountain Hawks shot a 673 (342, 331). Leading the way for Lehigh was Allison Juster who tied for 30th place as she shot a 166 (88, 78), while teammate Jen Nagel was close behind with a two-round score of 167 (86, 81), good for a 34th place tie. Bethune Cookman won the team championship with a 624 (318, 306) and it was followed by Yale (329, 304 = 633),
Other Mountain Hawks that competed throughout the weekend were Livia Amado (82, 90 = 172) and Caroline Boyer (89, 83 = 172) who both tied for 50th place, and Kelly Fitzgerald who shot a 175 (93, 82) to finish tied for 59th place. The overall individual champion was Yale’s Ellie Brophy with a two-day total of 150 (74, 76).
Lehigh returns to action on October 20 when the Mountain Hawks close out their fall season at the Lehigh Invitational at Saucon Valley Country Club.
