Lehigh drops pair at Buckeye Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Northern Illinois racked up a school record .505 hitting percentage en route to a 3-0 win over Lehigh in the second match for both teams at the Buckeye Invitational at St. John Arena. The Mountain Hawks hit .165 for the match, an improvement from their match against
Lehigh was led by senior outside hitter Michelle Schwendenmann, who racked up 16 kills and a .394 hitting percentage.
Defensively, senior Cassidy Maumus led the way with 11 kills, with Schwendenmann adding eight. Freshman setter Sarah Wolfe handed out 24 assists in the match.
The Huskies placed four players in double-figure kills led by Laura Baetzel.
Earlier Friday, Lehigh fell to the host Buckeyes 3-0.
