The Tigers raced to a 1-0 lead in the second inning, as Amanda Erickson doubled to left, then scored on a double to centerfield by Calli Jo Varner.

In the circle, Sweeney tossed the first four innings, allowing just one run on three hits. She earns her 13th win of the season. Arico then followed with three scoreless innings to notch her second save. Both Lehigh hurlers struck out four batters apiece on the afternoon.
Lehigh managed just four hits on the day, as Kate Marvel, Taryn Hanley and Wieder all delivered singles to go along with Sterrett’s three-bagger.
The Mountain Hawks will resume Patriot League play this weekend when they welcome Bucknell to Kaufman Field for four games in their league home opener. Lehigh will play two with the Bison on Saturday beginning at 1:00. Then on Sunday the two teams will play another twinbill, which gets underway at noon.
