Despite several scoring chances for the Mountain Hawks in the second half, Lehigh was unable to find the back of the net, and so the two teams headed for overtime, still knotted up at one.
Lehigh had a pair of shots off of two corner kicks in the opening overtime, but Richmond held the Mountain Hawks off of the score board, and vice versa, sending the squads into a second ten minute overtime session. In the second over time, neither team was able to get anything going, and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
Sophomore goal keeper Charlie Sales sent back four shots for Lehigh, and Spiders goal keeper Eric Sciocchetti registered ten saves of his own. Lehigh was led in shots by Williamson with five, and for
