Mountain Hawks compete at New York Armory

Armory, NY – Lehigh headed to the New York Armory Invitational this weekend to compete with some of the top track programs in America, including Penn State, Rutgers, Maryland, Duke and Georgia.  Several Mountain Hawks turned in solid performances on the day, showcasing their talents against the nation’s best.

 

For the Lehigh women, Katharine Hessler placed 11th in the high jump, as she cleared 1.60-meters, while Andrea Luebbe raced her way to a 15th place finish in the 3000-meters with a time of 10:30.94.

 

On the men’s side, Vaclav Malek cleared 2.01-meters in the high jump, placing him in second place overall.  Rob Hampson crossed the finish line in a time of 8:23.14 in the 3000-meters, which placed him in fourth place overall.

Lehigh returns to action on Saturday, February 12 when the Mountain Hawks travel to compete in the Delaware Invitational on the campus of the University of Delaware.
