Lehigh blanks Drexel 2-0 on the road

The Mountain Hawks got on the board at the
Joe Verdi scored his first collegiate goal at the 41:17 mark off of a header from Matt Franz to put Lehigh in front 2-0 and help preserve the victory. From there the Lehigh defense took over, leading to the road win.
Lehigh got off 13 shots on the day, while the Mountain Hawks had eight corners compared to Drexel’s one. Drexel’s goal keeper Jim Greco stopped two Mountain Hawk shots on the day, while for Lehigh Verdi led the team with four shots.
Lehigh returns to action on Saturday evening when the Mountain Hawks step back into Patriot League play, as they host American from the Ulrich Sports Complex. Game time is scheduled for
