Brooklyn, NY – Lehigh let its second team play the majority of the second half on Tuesday evening and it paid off as the Mountain Hawks picked up a big 1-0 road win over Long Island.  A pair of freshmen connected for the game-winning goal as Josh Regina picked up his first collegiate points with a feed to fellow first year player Joe Clemente at the 69:12 mark of the second half for the winning tally.  With the win the Mountain Hawks improve to 10-5-2 on the season, while the Blackbirds fall to 7-6-3.

Lehigh outshot its counterparts 9-8 on Tuesday evening, while in goal freshman Charlie Sales and senior Sam Bishop split time.  Sales finished with three saves on the night, and Bishop was credited with one.  Alex Fatovic played the entire 90 minutes for Long Island and sent back three shots of his own.

Lehigh returns to action on Friday evening when the Mountain Hawks travel to Annapolis to take on Navy in a huge Patriot League clash. If Lehigh wins the match then it would move onto the Patriot League Tournament.  There are other scenarios that would allow the Mountain Hawks into the tournament, but a win would guarantee a spot in the postseason.
