Lehigh shuts out Navy, qualifies for PLTournament

Lehigh jumped on the board in the 19th minute as freshman Joe Clemente chipped home Adam Williamson’s centering feed to put the Mountain Hawks up 1-0. The goal was Clemente’s third of the season. Just three minutes later Lehigh would go up 2-0 as Peter Classi scrambled through traffic to record his first goal of the season.
The Mountain Hawks defense would buckle down in the second half, keeping the Midshipmen off the scoreboard. Lehigh out shot Navy 11-8 for the match. Charlie Sales made a pair of saves for the shutout.
The win clinches Lehigh’s place in the Patriot League Tournament. The rest of the tournament field will be settled following this weekend’s games. The Mountain Hawks are back in action on Sunday when they host
