Hamilton, NY – Lehigh fell to Colgate by a score of 2-1 on Saturday evening in New York.  Junior Jim Stevens scored his team leading eighth goal in the loss, and now has 17 points for the season, which also leads the Mountain Hawks.  With the loss, Lehigh falls to 8-4-2, 2-2-1 in Patriot League play, while the Raiders improve to 9-6 overall and 2-3 in league action.

Colgate jumped on the board first when Jonathan Cook scored the first of his two goals at the 24:29 mark off of a feed from Justin Second and the Raiders were in front 1-0, which is how the game would remain through halftime.

In the second half, Cook hooked up with Sean O’Sullivan and Dan Belke at the 66:09 mark to put the home team ahead 2-0.  Stevens then scored off a feed from senior Kyle Hartman, but it wasn’t enough as Colgate won the match.

Freshman Charlie Sales had two saves in goal for Lehigh, while Colgate keeper Josh Cohen stopped two Mountain Hawk shots.  Lehigh was outshot 12-9 by Colgate, but had five corners to the Raiders three.  Junior Adam Williamson led Lehigh with three shots on the night.

Lehigh returns to action on Wednesday when the Mountain Hawks travel to Piscataway, New Jersey to take on regional foe Rutgers.  Game time is set for 7:00.
