Piscataway, NJ – Lehigh fell to Rutgers by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday evening in New Jersey in front off 711 people.  Both teams battled feverishly in the first 45 minutes with neither squad able to find the back of the net, but the Scarlet Knights were able to score two late goals to win the match.  With the loss, Lehigh falls to 8-5-2 on the season, while Rutgers improves to 6-8-3.

Following the scoreless first half, Rutgers get on the board when Scott Gamagan took a pass from Kevin O’Connor from five-yards out and deposited it in the back of the net for a 1-0 Scarlet Knight lead at the 71:24 mark.  Rutgers then put the icing on the game when Tommy Gray scored with just over one minute remaining off of a feed from Nick Labrocca.  In goal for the Mountain Hawks, senior Sam Bishop stopped two Rutgers shots, while the Scarlet Knights goal keeper, George Vasilakis sent back two Lehigh shots.

Adam Williamson unleashed three shots on the night for Lehigh to lead the Mountain Hawks, while Kyle Hartman got off two shots of his own.  Lehigh was outshot by Rutgers 11-7 and had two corner kicks to the Scarlet Knights three.

Lehigh returns to action on Saturday evening when the Mountain Hawks return to Patriot League play as they welcome archrival Lafayette to the Ulrich Sports Complex in a huge conference match up.  The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 and all of the action can be heard live on lehighsports.com.
