Piscataway, NJ – Lehigh newcomer Yvonne Kukora posted a 156 over two days to lead her team as the Mountain Hawks finished seventh in the 16-team Rutgers Invitational on Friday and Saturday.. As a team, Lehigh finished five strokes behind host Rutgers, as the Mountain Hawks shot a 668. St. John’s took the top spot with a two-day total of 612.

Kukora (75-81) finished in a tenth place tie. Senior captain Alexis Foucek (83-88) was the next Mountain Hawk finisher, posting a 171. Sophomore Kassia Nelson (80-92) was one stroke behind Foucek in the scoring column, with a 172 overall. Junior captain Sarah March (93-83-176) rounded out the Lehigh scoring. Freshman Paige Cullen also took part in the event for Lehigh, shooting a 178 (88-90) over the 36 holes.

Jaclyn Sanders of St. John’s captured individual medalist honors. She shot a four-over par 148 (76-72) to take the top spot. She bested teammate Brittany Lambertson by one stroke.

The Mountain Hawks wrap up fall play when they return to the links on October 23-24 to take part in the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa.
