Women begin fall play with win at Kutztown

Kutztown, PA – Lehigh opened fall play the right way as the Mountain Hawks took first place in the Kutztown Fall Invitational held at Berkleigh Country Club on Friday afternoon. Lehigh's team score of 351 bested second place Kutztown by nineteen strokes. Sophomore Lauren Barton shot an 85 to pace the Mountain Hawks, as she finished second overall.
Barton was one of three Mountain Hawks golfers who finished in the top five overall. Sophomore Sarah March tied for third by shooting an 87 on the afternoon. Newcomer Kassia Nelson made an immediate impact, finishing fifth with an 88. Senior co-captain Danielle Kochenour shot a 91, and junior Moriah Britt rounded out the Lehigh scoring with a 97. McDaniel's Kelly Cramp won the individual title, with an 83.
Lehigh returns to action on Wednesday, when the Mountain Hawks host the Lehigh Quad at Saucon Valley Country Club.
