Alli Kowalski
- Title:
- Volunteer Assistant Coach
Alli Kowalski begins her first season as volunteer assistant coach after graduating from Lehigh this past year. Despite struggling with injuries throughout her career, Kowalski certainly made her impact on the Lehigh field hockey program. She got into one game as a freshman, but continued to serve as a strong mentor for the younger players.
Off the field, Kowalski has made her mark on the Lehigh community, working extensively with Habitat Humanity of the Lehigh Valley as Volunteer and Event Coordinator, among other roles. She was responsible for the planning and execution of the organization’s fundraising and non-fundraising events. Kowalski was also a Student Philanthropy Intern in the Lehigh Alumni Relations office.
Kowalski served as a team captain for Lehigh in 2011, helping lead the Mountain Hawks to the Patriot League Semifinals. She was the 2009 winner of the Lehigh Field Hockey Coaches Award, which honored the student-athlete who made significant contributions to the well-being of her team in terms of attitude, improvement or special leadership. Kowalski’s leadership was evident off the field too, as a member of the Lehigh Senior Class Gift Executive Committee and participant of Lehigh’s Leadership Legacies program. That program marked the last and most selective phase of Lehigh Athletics Leadership Academy.
The Luzerne, Pa. native graduated from Lehigh with a Global Studies major and Business minor. She was a three-time member of the Dean’s List and NFHCA National Academic squad member (for a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher) while garnering the Faculty Athletics Council Scholar Athlete Academic Achievement Award as well. Kowalski was also a National Society of Collegiate Scholars member.
