Learfield and Lehigh announced today that Tim Bordner has been appointed General Manager of Mountain Hawks Sports Properties, the exclusive multimedia rights holder for Lehigh Athletics.
As General Manager, Bordner will oversee all aspects of the multimedia rights relationship, including corporate partnership sales, sponsorship activation, and brand integration initiatives. He will collaborate with Lehigh Athletics to expand local and regional partnerships while delivering innovative solutions that enhance the fan experience and create long-term value for corporate partners.
“We’re excited to welcome Tim to our Lehigh Athletics team,” said Jeremy Gibson, Lehigh Murray H. Goodman Dean of Athletics. “His many years of experience in and knowledge of the Pennsylvania and national markets will add value to our External Team and entire Athletics Department.”
A proven leader in sports marketing and sponsorships with over 30 years of experience in the industry, Bordner takes the helm of Mountain Hawks Sports Properties after nearly 23 years at Penn State Sports Properties. He is a previous winner of Learfield’s Chairman’s Cup Award as the company’s top sales executive, an honor he received during Learfield’s tenure representing Penn State’s athletics multimedia rights.
“Tim brings with him a wealth of industry experience that will make him a tremendous asset for Lehigh Athletics and Mountain Hawks Sports Properties,” said Mike Trudnak, Regional Director of Sports Properties at Learfield. “We look forward to continuing our close and successful relationship with Jeremy and his team as they work to lead Lehigh Athletics to new heights.”
In addition to his 23 years spent in University Park, Bordner also attended college in Pennsylvania at nearby Temple University, where he earned a degree in communications.
“I’m so grateful to Learfield as well as Jeremy and his team at Lehigh for the opportunity to lead the Mountain Hawks Sports Properties team,” said Bordner. “It’s an honor to step into the General Manager role, and I look forward to driving innovative revenue generation, creating authentic connections between brands and fans, and elevating the student-athlete experience.”
Bordner and his wife, Marika, are the proud parents of two children, Emily and Brenna. Outside the office he enjoys traveling, spending time with his family and watching sports.
