Former Lehigh team captain David Olexson ’16 is in his fourth season as the Mountain Hawks’ assistant coach. Olexson was on staff for Lehigh's 2022-23 campaign that saw the Mountain Hawks win four team tournament championships, including the Patriot League Championship.
Olexson walked on to the Lehigh men’s golf team prior to the 2013-14 season and represented the brown and white at three Patriot League Championships. He captained the Mountain Hawks in 2015-16, playing 21 competitive rounds in his senior season. In that 2015-16 season, Olexson captained Lehigh to runner-up finishes at the Lehigh Invitational, the Patriot Spring Intercollegiate and the Wildcat Invitational.
An Easton, Pa., native Olexson graduated from Lehigh in 2016 with a degree in mechanical engineering. In addition to his work with the Lehigh men’s golf program, Olexson is a senior design engineer and applications engineer for Strahman Valves Inc.
Olexson currently resides in Hellertown, Pa.
