Why Lehigh? “I chose Lehigh because it’s a local university where I can both pursue my interest in athletics and take advantage of the excellent academics it provides.”
As a sophomore (2024): Saw time in all 13 games with five starts on the defensive line… finished with 13 tackles… registered sack against Princeton (9/21)… credited with block of game-winning field goal attempt to preserve victory at Holy Cross (11/9).
As a first-year (2023): Appeared in 10 games, making three starts at defensive end… finished with 22 tackles… registered first sack at Fordham (10/7)… had trio of four-tackle games, at Monmouth (9/30), vs. Georgetown (10/14) and vs. Lafayette (11/18)… named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Before Lehigh: Spent 2022 season at Penn State but did not see any action… Dean’s List student at Penn State.
In high school: four-year letterwinner and member of three EPC North championship teams… first-team All-Conference as a senior… led EPC with 11 sacks as a senior.
Personal: Son of Marie and Paul Sharga… has 10 siblings, sisters Rose, Andrea, Ruth, Claire, Christine, Nicole, AnnMarie and Katherine, and two brothers, Jude and Nick… brother Nick played football at Temple… father is a Lehigh alumnus.
