Deb Schlosser enters her third season as an assistant coach for the Lehigh volleyball program in 2021.
She was hired to be the second assistant on Alexa Keckler's coaching staff on July 1, 2019.
“We are extremely excited to add Deb to our staff,” said Keckler. “She has an extensive background in the sport with great expertise in player development and breakdown. We are looking forward to having her be a part of our team.”
Schlosser comes to Lehigh from Alvernia University where she served as the head coach of the men’s program from 2016 to 2018. She helped usher in a new era of volleyball at Alvernia with the program beginning its first season in 2017. While she served as head coach of the men’s team, she also was an assistant coach for the women’s volleyball team at Muhlenberg College from 2016 to 2018, serving under then-head coach Keckler.
Prior to her stints at Alvernia and Muhlenberg, Schlosser was an assistant for the men’s program at Kean University from 2014 to 2016 where she helped lead the Cougars to a Skyline Conference Championship in 2016 and an appearance in the NCAA Division III Quarterfinals.
From 2012 to 2016, Schlosser served as an assistant coach at Moravian College in Bethlehem, where she coached two All-Americans and six All-Landmark Conference selections.
Before joining the coaching staff at Moravian, Schlosser served as the head coach of both men’s and women’s programs at Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) from 2006-11 where the Cougars advanced to the conference finals every season. She helped coached two All-State players and five All-Conference selections.
From 2001-14, Schlosser had a very successful tenure as Head Boys Volleyball Coach at Emmaus High School, leading the Hornets to three District XI Championships and four Lehigh Valley Conference titles including six trips to the PIAA State Championships. She was named District XI Coach of the Year twice in 2010 and 2012 and coached 27 All-Conference players and 12 PIAA All-State selections.
Since 2004, Schlosser has been an Indoor High Performance Coach with USA Volleyball, where she’s served as a tryout and camp coach and evaluator, including time as a Youth Continental Team Assistant Coach at the HP Championships. Since 1997, Schlosser has also coached Boys and Girls’ Club Volleyball leading the boys to five Open bids to USAV Junior National Championships and eight regional championship victories. As head coach of the girls’ team, she helped athletes receive two American bids to Junior National Championships and won one regional championship. In 2011, her team won the Capital Hill Classic 15 Open Championship.
Schlosser earned her B.F.A. from Penn State and her M.T.S. from Moravian.
