Why Lehigh? “I have always felt connected to Lehigh University because I was born five minutes away at a and then grew up 30 minutes away. I chose Lehigh because they gave me the opportunity to get a great education and play the sport I love. Lehigh is also close to my family and friends.”
As a sophomore (2024): Appeared in four games… started second round playoff game at Idaho… had three tackles and a QB hurry, all of which came in Idaho game.
As a first-year (2023): Saw time in six games on special teams… credited with tackle at Colgate (11/11).
In high school: Second-team All-State linebacker… first team All-Conference… Scholar-Athlete award… also played lacrosse… took postgraduate year at Fork Union Military Academy.
Personal: Son of Nick and Danielle Bender… siblings Breelyn and Braygan… father played football at Wake Forest.
