WHY LEHIGH? “I chose Lehigh because of the challenging academics, beautiful campus and the opportunity to play DI field hockey.”
AS A SENIOR (2017): One of just three Mountain Hawks to start all 18 games, seeing time in the midfield and on defense … Tallied an assist and two shots (both on goal) on the season … Part of a Lehigh defense which pitched three shutouts for a second straight season … Defense allowed just 14.1 shots per game, fewest since 2007 … Assisted on the game-winning overtime goal vs. Lafayette (10/6), stick-stopping for Teresa Carotenuto’s blast which gave the Mountain Hawks their first win over the Leopards since 2005. Marked Washburn’s first point since sophomore season (2015) … Fired two shots on goal against La Salle (9/1) … Received the program’s Scholar-Athlete Award at annual end-of-season banquet.
AS A JUNIOR (2016): Started all 17 games as an anchor at defense … Key part of a defense which recorded three shutouts on the season, the Mountain Hawks’ most since 2004 … Lehigh shut-out two consecutive Patriot League opponents for the first time in program history, shutting out Holy Cross 1-0 (9/30) and Colgate 6-0 (10/8) … Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and NFHCA National Academic Squad.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2015): Breakout season, playing in 15 games with 10 starts on defense … Tallied an assist and defensive save, both in the home opener vs. Davidson (8/30) … Started eight of the first nine games of the season … Part of a defense that shut-out Siena and allowed one goal on eight separate occasions … The Mountain Hawks held nationally-ranked and eventual league champion Boston University to three goals, tying for the Terriers’ lowest offensive output in a Patriot League regular season contest … Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and NFHCA National Academic Squad.
AS A FRESHMAN (2014): Played in seven games as a freshman, tallying a shot on goal … Made collegiate debut in season opener vs. Saint Joseph’s (8/29) … Played in the next two games, against Saint Francis (Pa.) (8/31) and at Penn (9/5) … Played in a Patriot League contest vs. Bucknell (11/1) … Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll … Named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad and named an NFHCA Scholar of Distinction for earning a fall semester GPA over 3.9.
BEFORE LEHIGH: Four-year varsity letterwinner and three-year starter at Summit High School in New Jersey … Team captain and MVP as a senior … Was the 2013 Nancy Mueller Award recipient … Graduated as Summit's record holder in career goals while also dishing 28 assists … As a senior, earned first team All-Group 2, first team All-Union County and first team All-Conference (Essex-Union) … Named Summit High School's Student-Athlete of the Week during the season, was a Star Ledger Week 3 Top Performer and was selected to the NJFHCA Senior All-Star Game … As a sophomore, was first team All-Union County, first team All-Conference and second Team All-North Jersey Group 2 … Also part of New Heights Field Hockey Club and competed in USA Field Hockey Futures Level I … Selected as an alternate for the 2012 National Futures Championship.
