Why Lehigh? “The combination of athletics and education is tough to beat. The campus is amazing and the coaching staff is great.”
In 2021-22: Did not compete due to injury.
In 2020-21: Started season-opening dual at Pitt at 157… dropped 6-1 decision to Pitt’s Tyler Badgett in only bout of season.
In 2019-20: Posted 4-8 record in 12 bouts at 149… competed at early-season Princeton, Jonathan Kaloust Bearcat and Wilkes Opens… made Lehigh dual debut at Binghamton in early January… wrestled duals against Binghamton, Cornell and American.
In 2018-19: Did not see any action.
In 2017-18: Deferred eligibility… went 1-4 competing unattached in open tournaments… won bout by fall at Princeton Open… also competed at Edinboro Open.
In high school: Two-time PAC 10 finalist… conference champion and district runner-up in 2016… owned 73-36 career mark after having his senior season cut short due to injury… two-time All-Area first team selection… medaled at the Escape the Rock and King of the Mountain tournaments… two-time state qualifier in freestyle and Greco-Roman… All PAC 10 and All-State Academic Team.
Personal: Son of John and Rose Cooley… younger sister Carolyn.
