Box Score

PHILADELPHIA – Lehigh women's soccer returned the pitch on Thursday evening after a 10-day hiatus on the road against the Drexel Dragons. The Mountain Hawks equalized early in the second half but ultimately lost by a score of 2-1.

Drexel (3-2-1) got out to an early lead over Lehigh (0-4) after Makenzie McCready scored in the ninth minute to give the Dragons a 1-0 lead. The Mountain Hawks offense generated numerous chances in the frame, as Lehigh put up nine shots and four shots on goal in the first half. The Dragons nearly put another in the back of the net in the final seconds of the first half, but the Lehigh defense held strong to keep the score 1-0.

The Mountain Hawks' offense broke through early in the second half, evening the score 1-1 when Aminah Baruwa scored off a beautiful assist from senior Summer Hill. Lehigh and Drexel played even until the 76th minute when Adriana Salzano headed in a goal off a corner kick that would prove to be the game winner.

Summer goes over the top and Aminah does the rest! 👏
