STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Lehigh women's soccer hit the road on Sunday afternoon to face the Stony Brook Seawolves at LaValle Stadium. The Mountain Hawks and Seawolves played to a 2-2 draw to secure Lehigh's first result of the season.

Stony Brook (3-0-3) found three shots on goal through the first 15 minutes of action, but Lehigh (0-4-1) sophomore goalkeeper Chloe Zipprich made three fantastic saves to keep the Seawolves off the board. Zipprich continued her excellent play, making two additional saves in the frame. The Mountain Hawks struck first in the 35th minute off a header from sophomore Lola Wojciechowski before Stony Brook's Emily Lemke evened the score at 1-1 just before halftime.

Less than a minute into the second half, the Seawolves scored a goal to break the tie and take a 2-1 lead. The Mountain Hawks found an equalizer in the 64th minute when senior Elliot Forney's corner kick found sophomore Tori Okorodudu who delivered the tying goal. The Seawolves had one final opportunity with a free kick from just outside the box with 25 seconds remaining, but Zipprich made the save to secure the result for the Mountain Hawks.

Wojciechowski led the way offensively for the Mountain Hawks with five shots and one goal. Okorodudu took two shots while scoring once while first-year Elliot Policare recorded two shots. Both Forney and senior Rylie Moschella tallied assists in the game.

Zipprich was phenomenal in goal, making a career-high 11 saves.

The Mountain Hawks return to the Ulrich Sports Complex on Thursday, September 10 at 6 p.m. to host La Salle.
