Lehigh men's and women's soccer are in Germany this upcoming week for spring break! Hear from women's soccer junior Rylie Moschella and men's soccer junior Landon Bealer on their first days abroad.
Rylie Moschella: Today we arrived in Munich! After a long flight and very little sleep, we headed straight to Olympiapark to start exploring. We got to see where the 1972 Olympics were held! Our first stop was BMW Welt, where we got to see a big collection of cars, both brand new and some super old. It was such a cool way to kick off the trip. After that, we finally made it to our hotel and were able to check in and unpack, which felt great after all the travel. Once we settled in, we headed to training and had an awesome session. To wrap up the day, we had dinner at the hotel and then took the train into downtown Munich. Walking around the city was amazing, the buildings are absolutely beautiful and there's so much history everywhere you look. It was the perfect way to end our first day here, and I'm really excited to explore even more of the city tomorrow!
Landon Bealer: Today was a busy day of traveling for me and the team. After (barely) getting some sleep on the plane, we landed in Munich around 10:45am local time. We proceeded to get some lunch before heading to Olympiapark where Munich hosted the 1972 Summer Olympics. It was a beautiful area and a much needed bit of fresh air after a long day of travel. Then, we checked into the hotel before heading to the soccer field for a fun technical session in preparation for tomorrow's match. We finished the night off with dinner and a quick visit to downtown Munich before coming back to get some much needed rest for an exciting trip to come!
