Whitlock Wins Fourth Patriot League Player Of The Week Award

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Junior captain Nasir Whitlock was named the Patriot League Player of the Week on Monday. Whitlock has won the award four times this season.
Whitlock led Lehigh to a 2-0 week while securing the number two seed in the Patriot League standings in the process. The Brooklyn Park, Minnesota native averaged 24.0 points, 5.5 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game on 61.5% from the field and 55.6% from three. Against American on Wednesday, Whitlock posted 16 points, four assists, and three rebounds. He followed that performance up with 32 points, seven assists, and three rebounds on 12-18 shooting in Saturday's 89-79 win over Bucknell.
On the season, Whitlock leads the Patriot League in scoring at 20.8 points per game on 47.8% from the floor and 43.1% from distance. The junior guard stands alone in Division-I men's basketball with eight 30+ point games this season.
No. 2 Lehigh will host a Patriot League Championship quarterfinal game against the winner of No. 7 Lafayette vs. No. 10 Holy Cross on Thursday, March 5 at 7 p.m.
