BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Three members of the Lehigh football program have been selected to the Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America teams announced Tuesday. All three Lehigh honorees are seniors, with defensive lineman Matt Spatny landing on the first team, offensive lineman Langston Jones earning a spot on the second team and safety Nick Peltekian making the third team.
Spatny was an honorable mention Associated Press All-American last season following a season where he registered 11.5 sacks in 12 games. A first team All-Patriot League honoree in 2024, Spatny ranked among the FCS leaders in sacks and sacks per game.
Jones was a mainstay on the offensive line for the Mountain Hawks last season, starting all 13 games at right guard. A first team All-Patriot League selection, Jones was one of the top performers on an offensive line that paved the way for the Patriot League's top rushing attack.
Peltekian was a first team all-league honoree as a defensive back while earning second team honors as a return specialist. He made 74 tackles over 13 games, including a career-high 15 at Army, and led the Mountain Hawks with four interceptions.
The Lehigh trio gives the Mountain Hawks three of the seven Patriot League student-athletes recognized by Stats Perform.
The Mountain Hawks will report for preseason camp at the end of the month. The 2025 season begins at home when Lehigh hosts Patriot League football newcomer Richmond on Saturday, August 30. Season and single game tickets are now on sale and can be purchased at LehighTickets.com or by calling 610-758-4263 during business hours.
