BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh head coach Kevin Cahill has announced the addition of Keeon Shaw to the Mountain Hawks' coaching staff. Shaw will coach Lehigh's cornerbacks.
Â
Shaw comes to Lehigh after spending the last two seasons as an offensive quality control coach at Dartmouth College where he assisted with wide receivers and the offensive line and was on staff for the Big Green's 2023 Ivy League championship. In his time at Dartmouth, Shaw worked with five players, spanning the wide receiver, offensive line and return specialist groups, that received All-Ivy League recognition.Â
Â
Prior to his stint at Dartmouth, Shaw spent two seasons as a defensive graduate assistant at the University of West Alabama. As the lead graduate assistant, Shaw held responsibilities that included assisting with the coaching of defensive backs, assisting the special teams coordinator, running scout teams and assisting in student-athlete recruitment.
Â
Before going to West Alabama, Shaw spent a year as the secondary coach, the head girls and boys track and field coach and also taught at Baker County High School in Glen Saint Mary, Fla.
Â
Shaw's teaching and coaching career began at his alma mater, Ed White High School in Jacksonville, Fla., where he coached the secondary and was the head junior varsity girls basketball coach, while teaching college algebra and freshman leadership courses.
Â
A former quarterback at Ed White, Shaw played cornerback collegiately at Brevard College in North Carolina, before finishing his career at Liberty University.
Â
Shaw graduated from Liberty in 2015 with a Bachelor's degree in business marketing and sport management. He added a Master's in physical education and sport management from West Alabama in 2022.
Â
The Mountain Hawks will open their spring practice segment on March 19.
