BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Fresh off its first road test of the year, Lehigh women's basketball will have less than 48 hours before returning to action as the Mountain Hawks play at Northwestern on Sunday at Welsh-Ryan Arena at 3 p.m. EST. Sunday's game will air on Big Ten Plus.
This will be the second straight B1G opponent Lehigh has faced after falling to Michigan 86-55 on Nov. 8. The Mountain Hawks come into Sunday's game 1-1 and the Wildcats are 0-1.
Lehigh battled the Wolverines tough in the first half, trailing 38-31 after the first 20 minutes, but the second half was the difference, with Michigan outscoring the Mountain Hawks 48-24.
The Mountain Hawks had three players finish in double figures, with fifth-year Maddie Albrecht pacing the way with 14 points, junior guard Ella Stemmer tallying 11 points and sophomore Whitney Lind scoring 10 points.Â
Albrecht has now led the team in scoring the past two games after recording 15 points in the season opener win over LIU.
Stemmer made a team-high of three three-pointers against Michigan for the second straight game, moving her into sole-possession for the seventh-most three-pointers in program history with 150. Â
Fresh off of a homecoming game for Stemmer, the Ann Arbor, Mich., native, Lehigh will have another homecoming game as sophomore guard and Algonquin, Ill., native Jessie Ozzauto returns home to Illinois on Sunday.Â
Northwestern fell 81-77 to Illinois State in the season opener on Nov. 6. Brown transfer Kyla Jones led the way for the Wildcats, scoring a game-high 28 points. Casey Harter added 18 points and Bucknell transfer Grace Sullivan finished with 10 points.Â
Northwestern and Illinois State were tied at 55 heading into the final frame, but the Redbirds outscored the Wildcats 26-22 in the final 10 minutes.

Next up, the Mountain Hawks will have a midweek break before traveling to Providence, R.I. to take on Brown on Nov. 17 at 12 p.m.Â
