BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After months of anticipation, the 2023-24 Lehigh men's basketball non-league schedule is finally here. The Mountain Hawks are set to face 11 teams prior to the start of Patriot League play, including four games inside Stabler Arena in Bethlehem and four games against teams from Power-6 conferences.
Lehigh will begin the 2023-24 campaign at home on November 6 against Cornell.
Following the home-opener, the Mountain Hawks will travel east to take on the Penn State Nittany Lions on November 10 succeeded by a trip to Chapel Hill, N.C. for a date with the North Carolina Tar Heels on November 12. This year's game against the Tar Heels will mark the first time that Lehigh and UNC have faced off since the 1940-41 season.
Next up for Lehigh will be SUNY Oneonta on November 16. The matchup will be played at Stabler Arena and marks the first ever meeting between the two schools.
The Mountain Hawks will head to West Long Branch, N.J. for a tilt against Monmouth University on November 21. The two teams faced off last season inside Stabler Arena, resulting in an 80-76 win for Lehigh. Three days later, Lehigh heads east for a Black Friday matchup against Big East side Providence on November 24.
After Thanksgiving weekend, Lehigh will host Saint Francis (Pa.) on November 29 after defeating the Red Flash last season 82-76. The team will then travel south to Baltimore that weekend for a matchup against the UMBC Retrievers on December 2. The next week, the Mountain Hawks will host Cairn on December 9 before taking an 11-day hiatus for final exams.
Upon returning from their intermission, Lehigh will head to Chestnut Hill, Mass. to take on Boston College on December 21. This marks the second consecutive year that the Mountain Hawks will face two ACC opponents in their non-league schedule.
Finally, Lehigh will travel to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. to clash with Marist on December 30 before the new year and the Patriot League season commences. The Mountain Hawks have won each of the past five matchups against the Red Foxes dating back to 2009.
Single game and season ticket packages for both Lehigh men's and women's basketball will go on sale on October 11. The Patriot League schedule is set to be announced in the coming weeks.
