
Lehigh Places Three On CSC Men's At-Large Academic All-District Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Three Lehigh men's student-athletes have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large teams announced Tuesday. Lehigh's men's honorees are junior Scott Cole from men's lacrosse, senior wrestler Josh Humphreys and senior Daniel Song from men's golf.

New for the 2022-23 academic year, student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key contributor in their sport. First-year student-athletes are not eligible for Academic All-District or Academic All-America honors.

Among sports sponsored by Lehigh, the At-Large portion of the Academic All-District teams covers field hockey, men's and women's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, rowing and wrestling.

Cole and Song were both recognized as Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year for their respective sports along with winning major Patriot League awards.

Humphreys capped a stellar Lehigh career on the mats as a three-time EIWA Champion and earned his second career All-America honor in March with a third place finish at 157 at the NCAA Championships in Tulsa, Okla. Off the mat, Humphreys graduated with a 3.56 GPA in management. He is a four-time NWCA Scholar All-American.

Cole was the Patriot League's Offensive Player of the Year for men's lacrosse in addition to its Scholar-Athlete of the Year. He exploded for 75 points, including 49 goals, the fourth-most in a season for the Mountain Hawks, and dished out 26 assists. Cole holds a 3.92 GPA in finance. Cole's five points per game and 3.27 goals per game both led the Patriot League.

Song was the Patriot League's individual champion and Men's Golfer of the Year as he led the way for Lehigh's Patriot League championship team. He graduated with a 3.75 GPA in Lehigh's integrated computer science and business program. Song won a pair of golf tournaments during the 2022-23 season and led the Mountain Hawks with 72.35 scoring average over 23 rounds.

Cole, Humphreys and Song are now all on the ballot for Academic All-America honors, which will be announced for the men's at-large on June 21.
