Mountain Hawks Take on Delaware on Tuesday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's basketball hits the road for the second straight game to take on Delaware on Tuesday at 7 p.m.Â
Lehigh comes into the game with a 2-0 record after defeating East Stroudsburg and Stonehill. Delaware is 1-0 after beating Longwood 81-55 in its season opener on Nov. 9.
Lily Fandre leads the way for Lehigh so far this season. Fandre is averaging 11 points and 7.5 rebounds. Fandre recorded the first double-double of her career against Stonehill after scoring 16 points and corralling 12 rebounds. Fandre's 16 points tied a career-high. She has scored 16 points three times in her career.Â
Remi Sisselman is the other Mountain Hawks to average double figures. Sisselman is putting up 10.5 points per game. She tallied 17 points in the opener against East Stroudsburg.Â
Jamie Behar and Whitney Lind are both averaging nine points per game. Behar scored 10 points and was 4-for-4 from the field against Stonehill. Lind scored nine points in both games and corralled nine rebounds versus Stonehill.Â
Through two games, Lehigh is averaging 70 points per game and holding opponents to 46 points per game. The Mountain Hawks have also tallied 24 steals and 19 blocks so far.Â
The Blue Hens had five players record double figures in their first game. Chloe Wilson led the way with 18 points.Â
Darionna Hoaward was named the CAA Rookie of the Week on Monday after scoring 13 points against the Lancers.Â
Lehigh is 10-19 all-time against Delaware. The last meeting happened last season, and the Mountain Hawks were defeated 79-67 at Stabler Arena. Lehigh led by as many as nine points in the third frame, but the Blue Hens clawed their way back to pull out the victory.Â
Lehigh has lost the last nine meetings. The last time the Mountain Hawks defeated the Blue Hens was in 1990.Â
The Blue Hens posted a 16-14 record last season.Â
