Lehigh downs Rutgers, looks to rematch with Rutgers and Temple

Lehigh wouldn't score until the eleven minute mark in the second period, a short handed goal got the scoring going for the hawks. After tying it up in the end of the second, Sophomore Shane Melead was able to give the hawks their first lead of the night when he scored off a shot from the point. Insurance goals were added from Freshman Zach Gruber and Freshman Max Toomey making the final 5-2 in favor of the away team. The hawks move to 7-2 on the young season and will have an off week before they welcome Rutgers at the Steel Ice Center and then will travel to Temple for its next conference match up.
