Mountain Hawks Set For Villanova's Wildcat Invitational, Beginning Monday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's golf team will travel to Villanova, Pa., for the Wildcat Invitational this Monday and Tuesday for their last stroke play tournament before the Patriot League Championship, April 29 to May 1.Â
The Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Villanova, will be held at the par 70, 6,572 yard Radnor Valley Country Club. The 36-hole tournament will feature 18 holes each day with the starting time scheduled for 8 a.m. Monday.Â
The tournament field will feature Binghamton, Bucknell, Colgate, Delaware, Lafayette, La Salle, Long Island, Marquette, Rhode Island, Rider, St. Joe's, Villanova, William & Mary and defending champions St John's.Â

The Mountain Hawks are coming off an 11th place finish at the ABARTA Collegiate Invitational at the Steel Club in Hellertown, Pa. Junior David Hurly had a strong showing, shooting a one under par 143 (71-72) and tying for fifth place. Sophomore Edmund Broderick and first-year Aidan Oehrle both turned in two solid rounds finishing at six over par (150) and seven over par (151) respectively. Junior Daniel Song battled back after shooting 80 in his first round with a second round 73 that featured 17 straight pars.Â
Following the Wildcat Invitational, Lehigh will play Lafayette in the annual President's Cup match play event at Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, N.J. The Mountain Hawks will then have a week to prepare for the Patriot League Championship that will take place at the Steel Club the following weekend.
