Lehigh Hockey Supports Adopted Player During Winter Classic Event

Senior Captains Alex Kelly, Synclair Goyer, Alex Senesi and John O'Shea spent a better part of their day giving back to the teams adopted player Richard Klingsensmith. The team made the choice to invite Richard as their adopted player in 2019. Richard serves as an honorary member of the team as well as playing for his special needs team the Polar Bears as part of the SHLV or Special Hockey of the Lehigh Valley league. Richard's team participated in the 9th Annual Winter Classic Special Hockey Lehigh Valley | Lehigh Valley Winter Classic | Bethlehem (lvwinterclassic.com). All four senior captains attended the Winter Classic in order to support Richards team. Richard routinely attends every mountain hawks practice and game that he is able to make. " Richard is a very special member of our team, he shows up everyday and in order to support him as he supports us, the captains decided to attend one of his games." said Senior Captain Alex Senesi.
Due to changes in the schedule and cancellations, the Mountain Hawks have two newly scheduled home games, they will take on University of Rhoad Island, February 11th @8:30pm and February 12th @1:30pm. Admission is free to the games and all home games are held at the Steel Ice Arena, in Bethlehem, PA.
