Whitney-Sidney Earns Second Patriot League Rookie of the Week Honor

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Tyler Whitney-Sidney of Lehigh men's basketball ended the regular season with a strong week, and was honored on Monday with Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors for the second time. Whitney-Sidney averaged 10.5 points over the two games, both Lehigh victories, while not turning the ball over in 54 minutes of action.

The Rookie of the Week honor is Lehigh's fifth of the season; Keith Higgins Jr. also received the honor three times.

Whitney-Sidney began with 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting in Wednesday's 78-61 Senior Night win over American. Ten of those points came in the second half on 3-of-3 shooting, and 3-of-3 from the free throw line. He continued with nine points, six rebounds and a game-high five assists in Saturday's 78-58 win at Lafayette.

In Patriot League games, Whitney-Sidney is averaging 7.9 points and 3.1 boards with 39 assists to increase his season totals to 5.9, 2.4 and 47, respectively

Senior Nic Lynch was also recognized among the honorable mentions on the Patriot League weekly honor roll following a monster week. He scored a career-high 30 points in Wednesday's Senior Night win and followed with his third double-double of the season (seventh of his career) on Saturday at Lafayette.
