Mountain Hawks Wrap Up Two Meet Day with Solid Performances

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Mountain Hawks returned to competition on Friday morning, competing at the IC4A Championships in the Bronx, N.Y. and the Penn State Invitational in University Park, Pa.Â
At the Penn State Invitational, senior Tyler French was the top-finisher for Lehigh for the second time this season. French finished 35th overall with a time of 26:10.8. Sophomore Aidan Lynch returned to the cross country course for the Mountain Hawks on Friday. Lynch, who second for Lehigh for the second time this season, finished 71st overall with a time of 26:56.2.Â
Ethan Davis was the third Mountain Hawk to finish in the top 100 on Friday. The senior finished 92nd overall, finishing the race in 27:19.1.Â
First-years Alex Heidemann (27:59.8) and Adam Barbato (28:17.3) made the trip to University Park, Pa. for the Mountain Hawks, finishing 120th and 124th, respectively.Â
Four Mountain Hawks traveled to the Bronx to compete at the IC4A Championships on Friday morning as well. First-year Carter LoPresti was the top finisher for Lehigh, finishing 228th overall with a time of 27:12.2.Â
Following close behind LoPresti was fellow first-year Connor Malinger, who finished the race in 27:16.8, claiming a 239th place finish. Thomas Arnold (27:40.9) and Max Leffler (27:55.8) were the final two members of the Lehigh men's cross country team to compete at the IC4A Championships, finishing 258th and 275th, respectively.Â
The Mountain Hawks will compete in their final meet of the regular season next weekend at the Bucknell Tune Up on Friday, Oct. 21. The following week, Lehigh will return to Lewisburg, Pa. for the Patriot League Championships on Saturday, Oct. 29.Â
