
Mountain Hawks Stand Second After Day One of Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lehigh women's golf team put forth a strong effort in day one of the Bucknell Invitational Saturday, as the Mountain Hawks shot 610 (300-310) through two rounds. In its first event of the school year, Lehigh stands second out of 11 teams, only trailing Navy who shot 582 (295-287). Junior Hannah Foster leads the Mountain Hawks at eight over par 148 through 36 holes.

Lehigh's No. 2 finisher through Saturday was freshman Madison Pineda, who is tied for ninth at 149 (74-75). Three other Mountain Hawks – sophomores Sophie Holland (79-79), Meghna Grover (80-78) and Sophia Taverna (77-81) – were tied for 22nd at 158.

Freshman Mia Scarpati and junior Marina Mendez competed as individuals, with Scarpati standing tied for 19th at 157 (81-76). Mendez is tied for 46th at 170 (86-84).
