Volleyball's 2021 schedule unveiled by Keckler

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Looking to get back in a position to contend for a Patriot League Championship, fourth-year head coach Alexa Keckler and her Lehigh volleyball program have announced the schedule for the upcoming 2021 season. With non-league opposition returning for the first time since 2019, the Mountain Hawks' year kicks off with an ACC battle at Virginia Tech.
In a shortened Spring 2021 campaign, Lehigh finished 3-6 and missed out on a four-team Patriot League Tournament field.
Former All-Patriot League selections Sabrina Lancaster and Hannah Wright return to the court this fall for their fifth years, as the Mountain Hawks look to make another run at their first league title since 1997.
As mentioned before, Lehigh opens the year on the road in Blacksburg, Va. for the Virginia Tech Tournament, taking on the Hokies and Elon on Aug. 27, finishing up with Toledo on Aug. 28.
The Mountain Hawks open play at Leeman Turner Arena at Grace Hall for the first time with the inaugural Lehigh Steel Tournament, facing St. Francis Brooklyn and Dartmouth on Sept. 3 and Binghamton on Sept. 4.
Regular season tournament play for the 2021 season concludes with a two-day invite at Towson, taking on the Tigers and Florida Atlantic on Sept. 10, followed by a pair of matches against Temple and Norfolk State on Sept. 11.
Lehigh returns home for mid-week action against Penn on Sept. 14, the final tune-up before the start of Patriot League play.
A pair of road matches opens league play Sept 17-18 as Lehigh visits Colgate and defending champion Army West Point in back-to-back days.
The first home league matches of the year take place Sept. 25-26 as Lafayette comes to Bethlehem for the Rivalry on Saturday and Bucknell visits on Sunday.
Lehigh continues the homestand with an Oct. 1 matchup vs. Loyola and Oct. 2 vs. Navy.
The Mountain Hawks finish out non-league play on the road on Oct. 5 at Fairleigh Dickinson before returning home Oct. 8 for the fifth straight home Patriot League contest vs. American.
Holy Cross is the opponent on Oct. 10 in Worcester and six days later, Lehigh visits American in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 16.
Army West Point and Colgate come to town on Oct. 22 and 23, respectively before the Mountain Hawks begin a four-match road trip, taking on Navy and Loyola on Oct. 29 and 30, then Bucknell and Lafayette on Nov. 5 and 6.
Lehigh closes out the regular season at home against Holy Cross on Nov. 13.
The Patriot League Tournament returns to a six-team format in 2021 starting with the Quarterfinal round on Nov. 16, the Semifinal round on Nov. 19 and a Patriot League Championship Match on Sunday, Nov. 21.
