BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's basketball announced its team awards on Friday, featuring four honorees for their contributions and achievements on and off the court.

Junior Nic Lynch received the Coaches Award, presented to the individual who made significant contributions to the well-being of the team in terms of attitude, improvement or special leadership. Lynch started all 15 games in 2021, finishing second on the team in scoring (12.1 points per game) and third in rebounding (4.5 per contest), but his impact well beyond the box score. He reached double-figure points in each of his first nine games, including 22 then 20 points against Lafayette in the season's opening weekend. He later scored 22 points on Feb. 27 at Lafayette via 9-of-10 shooting.

Andrei Arion garnered the Scholar-Athlete Award. The sophomore owns a 3.77 cumulative grade point average in bioengineering. Over his first two years, Arion has been named to the Dean's List on multiple occasions (for a semester GPA over 3.6). He's also been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and garnered the Faculty Athletics Council Award (for semester GPAs over 3.2).

A third team All-Patriot League and second team All-District honoree, senior Marques Wilson added the team's Most Outstanding Athlete award to his resume. Wilson averaged 15.3 points per game in 2021, good for tops on the Mountain Hawks and 10th in the Patriot League. He reached double-figure points 10 times in 15 games after doing so 20 times in his first 73 contests through his first three collegiate seasons. As a senior, Wilson also eclipsed 20 points on four occasions. His senior year started on an impressive note, tying a career-high 28 points in the opener vs. Lafayette, including a long buzzer-beating 3-pointer in overtime. That evening, the shot led SportsCenter as Scott Van Pelt's best thing he saw that day.

Athletic trainer Ryan Lynch received the Mountain Hawks' Sixth Man Award for all his tireless work for the student-athletes and program. Not only did he have his normal extensive athletic training duties, but also planning and implementation of COVID-19 protocols, which allowed the opportunity to compete.
