Lehigh Closes Out Spring Campaign At Patriot League Championship

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's golf team closed out its season with the final round of the Patriot League Championship Sunday on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club. The Mountain Hawks shot a final round 328 to finish the tournament in fifth place out of six teams at 993 (344-321-328).
Freshman Sophie Holland led Lehigh for the second straight round carding a 75, which was the low round of the weekend for the Mountain Hawks. Holland's round included a pair of birdies on the front nine.
Lehigh's low finisher for the championship was sophomore Hannah Foster, who tied for 19th place at 250 (83-80-87).
Senior Angela Ding capped her Lehigh career with a final round 83, the second-lowest score on the team for the day. Ding made two birdies and finished in 23rd place at 253 (87-83-83).
Sophomores Iris Shin and Marina Mendez both shot 85 in Sunday's final round. Shin finished in 24th place at 254 (87-82-85), while Mendez finished in 30th position with a final total of 265 (87-93-85).

Navy won its first Patriot League women's golf championship with a final score of 921. The Midshipmen edged Boston University by just two strokes in a tight team race.
Richmond freshman Rory Weinfurther was the individual medalist with a final score of 227 (74-79-74). Weinfurther earned Outstanding Golfer of the Year and Rookie of the Year honors for her performance.
