BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Two days after becoming Lehigh field hockey's first-ever four-time All-Patriot League honoree, senior Lenke Havas was named Academic All-League for the second time in her career, as announced on Thursday. Also named to the team as a sophomore, Havas owns an impressive 3.75 cumulative GPA as an Economics and Management double major.

In the classroom, Havas has garnered a spot on the Dean's List on multiple occasions for a semester GPA over 3.6. She's earned a perfect 4.0 term in each of the last two semesters. Havas has also been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll every year and garnered the Faculty Athletics Council Award every semester (for a semester GPA over 3.2).

On the field, Havas continued her stellar play at both center back and in the midfield, finishing tied for the team lead in goals (3), points (6) and defensive saves (1). She had two goals vs. Bucknell and another at No. 20 Boston University. Havas was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week following Lehigh's 4-0 win over the Bison, the program's largest-ever margin of victory vs. Bucknell. Havas is a two-time All-Region honoree. Along with being a four-time All-Patriot League honoree, she has also been named to the first team in three straight seasons.

To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor. These honors recognize student-athletes who excel in their sport and the classroom. The awards are voted on by Patriot League field hockey sports information directors, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Lehigh began the spring with wins over Lafayette (1-0) and Bucknell (4-0), the first time since 2004 that the Mountain Hawks beat both the Leopards and Bison. Despite losses in the next three, Lehigh gave itself a chance until the very end vs. Holy Cross, had its smallest margin at American (2-0) since 2001, then despite being shorthanded with personnel, gave itself a chance deep into the second half at a nationally-ranked opponent.
