Spring 2021 Lehigh Football Preview: Tight Ends

As March begins Lehighsports.com will be taking a position-by-position look at the Lehigh football team, which will play a four-game Patriot League schedule in the spring of 2021. The Mountain Hawks, under the direction of second-year head coach Tom Gilmore, will open the 2021 spring season March 13 versus Holy Cross at Goodman Stadium.
We continue with a look at Lehigh's tight ends.
The tight end position appears to be an area of strength for the Mountain Hawks entering the spring campaign. Alex Snyder emerged as one of the top tight ends in the Patriot League in 2019. Snyder ranked fourth on the Mountain Hawks with 23 catches for 355 yards last season and was the Preseason All-Patriot League tight end.

Behind Snyder are sophomores Ian O'Connor and Kyle Smith. O'Connor saw significant action as a freshman in two tight end sets and has come back bigger and stronger entering his second season. Smith was a strong performer on special teams as a freshman and is ready to make bigger contributions offensively in his sophomore campaign.

Joining the tight end group is freshman Christian Williams from Jacksonville, Fla.
