
Holland delivers low round but Mountain Hawks edged by Bison in Lewisburg

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Freshman Sophie Holland captured the individual title while senior Angela Ding tied for second, but one day after Lehigh edged Bucknell by two strokes to win a dual match at home, it was the Bison claiming a three stroke victory Sunday at the Bucknell Golf Club.
The Mountain Hawks shot 305 on Sunday but the host Bison shot 302 to earn a split of the weekend home-and-home series.
Holland carded the low round of the weekend, shooting three over par 73 to lead Lehigh for the second time in three events. Ding was one of three players to shoot 74 as she tied for second place for the second consecutive day.
Lehigh's low player on Saturday, sophomore Hannah Foster tied for seventh at 79 as did classmate Iris Shin. Sophomore Marina Mendez carded an 84 in Sunday's round.
Casey Morrow and Morgan Sohosky led Bucknell by tying Ding with rounds of 74. The Bison also had a B team compete, which shot 318.
The Mountain Hawks will next play a home-and-home with La Salle, beginning Monday April 5 with a stroke play match in Glenside, Pa.
